Sad news and last thank yous. For now.
06.10.11 by miroI’m not very pleased to tell you this, but after all, we have quit. Our last gigs were about a year ago, and although i personally wrote six or seven new songs, we never got to do them due to other stuff going on in our lives. I even recorded homespun acoustic versions of those. Sorry, I’m not going to release them.. Jussi and myself were already working on another band, Lunar Outpost, and when few unrelated things failed, Antti joined our ranks after Essi, the founding member of Lunar Outpost, had to leave the band. So, as of right now, there seems to be no chance of us playing as The Lenients again. I can’t never say never, we could possibly do something sometime in some future, but i can’t promise you anything.
We had a blast along the way meeting new people and seeing old friends too. We’ll keep this webpage open and that CDr available if someone is still interested. I will close our email, since no one has read it for nearly a year. If you really need to contact us, you can write straight to me – mirosol[at]gmail.com.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us in any way during our short existence. Especially Niko and Paavo. Thanks to everyone who listened to our shit, enjoyed a show, talked philosophical shit with us or drank a beer with us. Thank you for everything. Tides change and so does life.
Lunar Outpost is about to release their second full length album soon – relative to time of when i’m writing this, of course – so all three of us are still doing punkrock together. It’s just a different band and we have very talented young woman with us, playing organ and synths. Hope to see you when we tour with them. Once more. Thank you all for everything.

31.05.10 by miroNew edition of Razorcake dropped in my mailbox today. I didn’t know what to make of it, but figured that it had something to do with Rock, Paper, Scissors CDR.. And it did. We’re mentioned on contacts page, and while our review didn’t make it to the paper, it made it to the website.

Rock, Paper, Scissors: CD-R
Despite our country’s current sad state of affairs and influence across the globe, at least our music still manages to impact musicians around the world. These Fins, The Lenients, bring some mighty U.S. bands to the table while carving out their very own sound for this record. I can definitely hear the, Off With Their Heads influence in terms of vocals and major key punk riffs. The Lenients trademark is their ability to write great guitar hooks. Their first track, “Still Burnin’,” starts the album out with a damn catchy hook and they don’t fall short on them anywhere throughout these thirteen tunes. Keep in mind this is a CD-R and the production doesn’t sound professional, but this is an album worth getting because there is not a bad song on the CD. –N.L. Dewart (Lenients)

01.03.10 by miroThank you everyone who were at S-Osis last friday. It was really a blast. Damn olympic icehockey match between finland and USA did eat up our (and everyone else’s) audience. I was personally accountable for the event, and boy was i glad that it stayed economically even. Thanks to you people who came. And especially thanks to the bands who are willing to play for next to nothing when so little people come.
I’m planning on organizing more gigs in the future, and i hope i learned from my mistakes in advertizing and such..
I had time and energy to update our media-page, so now there’s usable gallery and some new photos. I even added that gigposter gallery that i promised way back when we started this site.
