New edition of Razorcake dropped in my mailbox today. I didn’t know what to make of it, but figured that it had something to do with Rock, Paper, Scissors CDR.. And it did. We’re mentioned on contacts page, and while our review didn’t make it to the paper, it made it to the website.

LENIENTS, THE:
Rock, Paper, Scissors: CD-R
Despite our country’s current sad state of affairs and influence across the globe, at least our music still manages to impact musicians around the world. These Fins, The Lenients, bring some mighty U.S. bands to the table while carving out their very own sound for this record. I can definitely hear the, Off With Their Heads influence in terms of vocals and major key punk riffs. The Lenients trademark is their ability to write great guitar hooks. Their first track, “Still Burnin’,” starts the album out with a damn catchy hook and they don’t fall short on them anywhere throughout these thirteen tunes. Keep in mind this is a CD-R and the production doesn’t sound professional, but this is an album worth getting because there is not a bad song on the CD. –N.L. Dewart (Lenients)

On other news, we’re still booking gigs to Estonia, Latvija and Lithuania for minitour with Versus All next fall. Hope we can announce final tour schedule as soon as possible.

Thanks etc.

Thank you everyone who were at S-Osis last friday. It was really a blast. Damn olympic icehockey match between finland and USA did eat up our (and everyone else’s) audience. I was personally accountable for the event, and boy was i glad that it stayed economically even. Thanks to you people who came. And especially thanks to the bands who are willing to play for next to nothing when so little people come.

I’m planning on organizing more gigs in the future, and i hope i learned from my mistakes in advertizing and such..

I had time and energy to update our media-page, so now there’s usable gallery and some new photos. I even added that gigposter gallery that i promised way back when we started this site.

If you took photos or video of us last friday, please send us copies. You know our email.

Hiya again. This we’ll be palying at S-Osis with The Dwyers, Mangoo, Versus All and The Seekrets! Tickets are 5€ at the door. There’ll be distrotable from Airiston Punklevyt.

Meanwhile we’ve been rehearsing and writing new songs, which seem to come alive better and faster than we orifinally expected. Hopefully new shit will be out in some form during this year.

Gig calendar is looking pretty empy at the moment, despite our valiant effort. So. Book us.

Thank yous and general Yeah!

We were playing tonight at TVO for the last time. Not the last for us, but for us in the venue. This amazing undergroung mecca has been sacred for thousands of starting bands as well as for namely immortal bands alike. Thank you TVO for being there for me. And fuck the bastards who decided that it’s more suitable to use that particular space as bicycle storage and laundry room than place for new bands to discover the the world of Punk.

Thank you TVO, thank you Paavo, thank you Yleislakko! Thank you Total Recall! Thank you Versus All!

It was perfect night to see old and new friends. That’s the General Yeah!
